| Monilarias should be ordered for
fall or winter shipment when they are actively growing
for best results. Monilarias are an interesting group of Mesembs. In mid to late spring, the plants go dormant, at which time the long, spaghetti-like leaves dry up and the entire plant resembles a pile of dead plant material. For us they break dormancy early to mid fall, at which time, seemingly overnight, bright green leaves appear from the dead looking mass and treat you to one of the most interesting of Mesembs. |
